We ordered a fried California roll, chicken hibachi, steak hibachi, garlic noodles & spicy noodles & everything was delicious! We loved the Diablo & yum yum sauce to go with our meet & sushi! The service was amazing! Going back soon!

It has quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots downtown. Located just across the street from my office, the aroma is irresistible. I highly recommend trying the garlic compound butter; it adds an amazing flavor to everything on the menu. The only downside is the price, which is a bit steep for my budget, so I usually reserve visits for lunchtime. It would be nice if they offered full table service instead of ordering at the counter to help compensate for the price. However, the quality of the ingredients is exceptional, making every dish worth the cost. It's a shame how much the price of quality ingredients has increased recently.

We arrived to this place around 5pm on a Friday. We walked in and the lady at the counter immediately greeted us. You walk up and order at the front, they give you a number and bring the food to your table. The menu is a good size with many options. They had beers and soft drinks only. While we waited for the food, they gave us Chips and Salsa. Now let's get to the food, it came out quickly and was fresh. We ordered the large meal for two, this came with Shrimp, Steak, lobster, chicken, fried rice and garlic noodles. It was such a large amount of food two people at the meal but had leftovers that could have totally fed another person. The restaurants isn't fancy but it was clean and I loved the open kitchen. This is not Benihana, they are not making it in front of you. Definitely yummy

I was visiting my in-laws in Modesto and stopped by to try Mexihanas. It was a Wednesday at 4:50 pm. Me and my wife were the only customers dinning in. We didn't feel rushed, the man in the front answered our questions. No complaints from us. Our food came out quick and I really enjoyed it. I felt like the plate had enough food and everything had good flavor. The highlight for me was the michelada. The flavor was delicious and the shrimps that are on the rim of the cup were grilled and perfectly seasoned. I would definitely recommend the michelada. My wife ordered the salmon and shrimp combo. She thought it was okay. She thought the salmon was overcooked but she rather have it overcooked than undercooked. I thought the salmon was really good. The sauces are not impressive but they are good. I give it 5 stars because the food and experience was good and the michelada was delicious. I don't live in Modesto but if I'm ever in the area, Mexihanas would be an option for me.
